Sjaak Kodde is resident in orthopedic surgery and PhD student at the University of Amsterdam. He studied medicine at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. During his study he did some research programs abroad at the Imperial College in London and at the trauma unit of the Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town. This trauma internship engaged his interest in orthopedics and trauma surgery. Since 2011, he is busy with his dissertation called ‘trauma and sports injuries of the elbow’.
