In 2015, at a desk with a cup of vending machine coffee in hand, we laid the seeds for Amsterdam Collaboration on Health and Safety in Sports (ACHSS). Our application to become one of the eleven global IOC Research Centers for prevention of injury and protection of athlete health was granted, and in 2016 we officially launched. Now, seven years later, we have grown in numbers and in partners. To celebrate our past years of athlete health research, we invite you to join us on a reflection and a look forward.
What better Way to do so than in a full day symposium?!
A day where our own team members can showcase their expertise and projects, flanked by international speakers that highlight pivotal athlete health topics for the coming decade. A day where science meets clinical & athlete practice. A day to engage, meet and discuss our mutual and drive motivation to protect athletes’ health.
Scroll down to explore the program.
This symposium will be held in a hybrid form. Anyone can join us in person in our new Amsterdam Institute of Sport Science building on the campus of the VU University in Amsterdam. If you are unable to join, you can simply login to our livestream and be part of the discussions from a distance.
We are very sorry, but we can’t accept any further registrations
Stay tuned for the recorded sessions
